Plan on joining us! We have many events throughout the year for all ages. Kids will put their hunting skills to the test during our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Main Street. In May we commemorate a part of history known as the Matewan Massacre or Battle of Matewan with reenactments from the Matewan Drama Group. The Magnolia Fair Festival is back again with carnival rides, entertainment, food trucks , and a good time for all! Mark your calendars for this and the Fall Homecoming Festival. Come to The Pavilion dressed in your favorite costume on October 26. Did we say candy might be involved? Join us November 10th as we pay respect during our Veterans Day program and on November 25th for the Annual Tree Lighting. You better not pout...Santa Claus is Riding Through Town. Participate in Matewan's Christmas Parade with your decorated float, vehicle, or atv/utv. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy town festivities while you wait to meet Santa after the parade.
